Surf Gel Intro:
My company and product Surf Gel is getting its act together by posting our very first blog! We hope to inform athletes of all kinds and ask to keep us in mind when you get your chafe on! What we are hoping that comes from our blogs here in chafe land is a honest open forum on chafe….Why it happens, and how Surf Gel makes it go away or keeps chafe from even happening from the start!

About us:
Well Surf Gel the product / company was started a few years ago because my brother and I hated getting chafe. He got it when he went surfing, and I got it when I played most any sport like basketball, soccer, or just going for a run.  With my brother Craig he constantly hated smothering on Vaseline before he went out for a surf. His wetsuit rubbed him raw in the arm pit area he had to prep by smearing in goopy Vaseline into his trouble spots. I always chafed in my groin area after killer workouts. It was one night over a few beers he mentioned how raw his pits were reaching over to grab another cold one. I laughed out loud and told him how my crotch was on fire from the treadmill session. Over a few more beers we had talked about for an hour how no one had figured out the right way to package and or advertise the simplest stuff to cure chafe! Two brothers set out on a journey to cure your annoying chafe safely and mess free!

Surf Gel has been an interesting ride of discovery and we want to tell you that this stuff works! We have been selling it to the Surf Market for about 9 months now and our product is being carried in 40 stores around the world. (Not bad for part timers!) It’s been fairly easy for us to test our idea on the Surfing market because we had a few connections to try it out in stores locally. Wetsuit and board short rash is big problem with surfers and so far we have been getting great reviews. We hope to launch another private label soon that will be marketed more towards traditional sports. But for now it’s Surf Gel.

If you get blisters, chafe, friction rash, crotch rot, butt burn…. Whatever you call your rawness hit us up!
